Ecoray
Autonomous laser weeding module
The crop row is the hardest place to weed
Hoeing between rows is a solved problem. Weeds growing in the row, between the crop plants, still mean hand weeding or herbicides that are getting harder to use. Ecoray works exactly there.
How it works
The tractor drives at 1–3 km/h. Ecoray does the rest. Read the technical details.
-
Detect
Cameras under a light-sealed hood image the bed continuously as the tractor drives.
-
Target
On-board AI tells weed from crop and locates the growth point of every weed, broad-leaved and grass alike.
-
Eliminate
A short laser pulse destroys the growth point. Soil and crop are left untouched.

Capacity that grows with your farm
Each module covers about 1 m. Add modules to weed more ground per hour.
2 modules
≈0.4 ha/h
About 2 m working width. A good start for smaller farms and trials.
5 modules
≈1 ha/h
About 5 m working width for full-scale vegetable production.
Driving speed 1–3 km/h, depending on weed pressure.
Precise enough for the row
0.1% crop damage
Fast-steering optics put the laser on the weed's growth point, centimetres from the crop.
No soil disturbance
Nothing touches the ground, so no new weed seeds are brought to the surface.
Trained in real fields
The AI is trained on images from Danish vegetable fields, season after season.

Modular by design
Start with two modules, or mount five side by side to match your beds.
Three-point mounted
Fits on the tractor you already own. No dedicated carrier vehicle needed.
Gauge wheels
Each module rides on its own wheels to hold the right working height over uneven ground.
Built for the field
Sealed aluminium enclosure rated IP69K for rain, dust and washdown.
Made for high-value row crops
Ecoray removes weeds at the seedling stage, when they are easiest to kill and have not yet competed with your crop.
